LS to elite

Hey , im new to the forum been having a read at the front end conversion i have a 03 plate dti.

But i was wondering say i got a elite with a blown engine and stripped it and stuck all the elite parts (computer mainly) in my Ls , would it be difficult ? Because i imagine with the computer it has lots and lots ofsensors.

Just a thought and wondered if anybody else has ever attempted anything like this

It can like most things be done, but it would be easier to take the engine out the good one and stick it in the elite imho, to fit all the stuff and make it similar to stock take a lot of effort and most of your car in bits.

Its not going to be so much about sensors, more than it will be about wiring, but if you have an 03 plate chances are you will already have most of the wiring in place, things like heated seat loom, rear electric window loom, climate control would still require removing the dashboard to swap everything over though.

As with me, easier to buy from outset...BUT LESS FUN. Get it done mate. Enjoy the upgrade too. Keep a photo log of it all too as we love pictures.

I would but an elite which i was origionally looking for but it was an extra £400 to swap the insurance over!

I have an 04 elite and courtesy of a bump am managing to get thr front end facelifted :-)

And the increase in the insurance when you declare all the mods you've made by swapping all the internals gubbins over...?
