Blue Smoke

Well folks, i have a 2005 vectra cdti 150 about 3 months now and was fine up until 2 days ago when i noticed alot of blue smoke from the exhaust. Now it only happens if i leave the car idle for a good few minutes and then go to drive or even rev it and then it clears again after about 20 seconds of driving. Aslong as im driving its fine no smoke atall, i even got a friend to drive it today as i followed and after letting it idle for a while he drove off ahead of me and there was a fair amount of smoke and then it cleared off and even driving it well out in every gear there wasnt one bit of blue smoke just the usuall very slight sight of black hardly anything though. The car hasnt used a drop of oil since i had it. The only work i did on the engine was a new stat and the linkage was off the swirl flaps so i stuck them all in the open position about 2 weeks after i bought it. Theres no em light on and the car is driving perfect apart from a slight hesitation for a split second on acceleration sometimes when i drop the boot, (i think that could be EGR valve) but other than that pulls good the whle way through the rev range, just a bit worried about the smoke now though....

Could be a couple of things causing that for now. Valve stem seals (but this would give a big cloud when starting the car and nothing after unless they've failed completely which is unlikely) or a little bit of oil blowing by the turbo. If you take off the boost hose closest to where it joins the engine air intake, is there much oil in there? A little bit is ok.

no smoke on startup or driving atall, it only starts to come out when left to idle for a few minutes... i will check the boost pipe soon as i get a chance, but i remember when i had the boost pipe off changing the stat there was a fair amount of oily soot, and i even had to take the boost sensor out and soak it in petrol and use a tooth brush on to clean it up it was completely crusted up with hard soot. What i did notice after i stuck the swirl flaps open is there seemed to be oil leaking through them and laying around the area around them...

Any ideas??? on looking at it further i would say the smoke is more of a white/blue colour than the usuall blue when a cars burning oil... Still not a drop of oil or water used either

nobody know any ideas what this might be? its still happening only when left to idle and checked it today and still not down a drop of oil!
