Default Has my mrs wrecked my clutch ?? Help please

ok a couple of days ago my mrs rang me and said she'd parked the car in a ditch ( this ditch is in a lay by next to a park we've been going to near enough every Sunday for the last two years with the kids, everytime were there some parks in said ditch and gets stuck. So why the hell she parked there I've no idea) she said when she tried to reverse the front wheels where just spinning and the car wouldn't budge, eventually some random bloke helped guide her out but she said as she was driving off there was a horrid smell, I assume it was tyres, I've been out in the car today and there was still a funny smell can't really put my finger on what it is, slightly burny smell, car is driving fine and pulls away ok also changes gear etc ok, just worried now incase she's caused damage to anything , the stupid woman

Could be the slam panel touching the engine or picked up dirt.

A good way of checking the clutch is put it in 6th gear whist doing 30mph and floor the accelerator. This way it will be putting maximum torque thru the clutch and if its been slipping, it start to slip again.

My other car. 1972 1641cc slammed beetle. On the road finally!!

I'll check the slam panel, and also try what gibbon said, I just can't believe she ****** parked there, I've lost count of the amount of cars me and wife have seen get stuck in this ditch, she said 'oh I didn't have any change for the car park so had to park in the lay by, but the only space left was the ditch, errr yeah that's cos its a ****** huge hole that's why nobody was parked there,

More than likely just the smell her riding the clutch lingering a bit. If its not slipping I wouldn't worry about it. Wimen eh.

I hope so buddy. Im just parked up now waiting for her and kept getting the strange smell all the way here. like I say it is driving fine so just hope it stays that way. Cars only a 58 plate with just about 30k on the clock so maybe she's just took a couple of years of life out the clutch. I wish women would ****** listen to us ha
