Default You opinion on my warranty work/fault

Had the car in for a service at 30k and mentioned that when the steering lock is on and you wiggle the steering wheel there's a slight click/crunch from the lock area. ( fine when driving )

Network Q have authorised a cim unit and I have got to take my car pass in when it has the work done. Does this sound right??? I thought the cim controlled the electrics to key and dash?????

Network Q will authorise the work as submitted to them by the dealership
Whether it is right or wrong will only be found it once the work is carried out

For a replacement CIM, this procedure is correct, and requires the Pass Card (if not already on the dealership records for your account) and both keys

The CIM is the entire unit that sits hidden behind the steering wheel, and you can see where the key enters
If it is only making noises why you insert the key, then it does suggest the casing of the CIM has split

Ok I didn't realise that was a whole complete unit. Glad I'm not paying for it! Thanks for the reply.
