Default Fuel Filter and Spark Plugs

Hello guys going away in 7 days and was going to book the car in for a service then I thought no I wont be lazy I'll do it myself all the other filter changes and oil changes are fairly straight forward.

I want to change the fuel filter and also the spark plugs, firstly where in the fuel filter located I own a 1.8 Petrol 52 Plate, how easy is it to change the spark plugs?

Any help or guidance is always much appreciated.

On my car the oil filter is accessible from the top, plenty of space and it just looks like a normal crew on filter no housing.

I think the only difference is on old models, the drain plug is in a slightly different place on the sump (could be the front?) and the oil filter is a different type.

fuel filter is under the car, approximately under rear passenger seat on the drivers side.. jack up the car to see it..

whilst you want to do the oil change after the engine has been run, you do not want to do the spark plugs then as they will be too hot. Also the fuel system will be pressurized so not a good time to do the fuel filter as you will get a face full of petrol..

As long as your car isn't lowered you can do the fuel filter quite comfortably without jacking the up.

Hello guys thanks for the information, does anyone have a picture of the fuel filter on one of these cars might be a little easier to locate. Should I do the fuel filter and sparks first then?

VX are as cheap as ebay and motor factors. I paid £3.16 last time I bought one.
