    Default Upgrading my 3.2 V6

    Hello Phil! here I´m...

Respect to remaping my ECU, I´ll wait until EDS answers the details I´m asking about, (I mean price, time to return the ECU to me, the correct address to send it, etc.) since I´m in Mexico.

    ChippedUK didn´t answer to me.

The truth I trust German people since they are so "upright" and meticulous, that I think my ECU would return well remapped.

SECOND: (that any can try with good expectations), I´m gonna recover with insulation material all the conducts that go from the engine throttle to the other edge of the air intake, including the filter box. The reason for this is that the fresher the air the better response of the engine. Thats why they sell "CAIs" (cold air intakes), that finally what they do is to build insulated containers and pipes to achieve this goal (like carbonium ones). This called CAIs are very expensive and do exactly what I say; I´m going to buy the insulating material at an air conditioned repairing place (maybe for homes and buildings).

NEXT: I´m going to cut the paper portion of a normal paper air filter for this Vectra, so that I keep the square surrounding of rubber, in order to put it exactly onto my panel K&N filter. So the filter box will grow about 2cm, this will give a litle more room to the intake system and could improve in somehow the throttle response.

LAST: Take as a good advice to change your original sparkplugs for Iridium ones; NGK are cheaper than Denso but do the same. I have done this to my car and I could feel the difference (enhanced response and better fuel consumption).

So, I´ll keep all of you informed about my advances.

    Cheers to you all!

    Hello friends,

I did what I posted, and my car works GREAT,

Reprogrammed with EDS... THE BEST! 7,000 revs, more torque, more power.

About insulation, works very well. I bought NEOPREN and covered the air intake, and the truth the change feels more than when I just put in the K&N.

Now, i´m not sure if the engine supports will resist my foot pushing the accelerator...

    Pablo.

You can get the remap with REGAL, or send an e-mail to toshiba-ash@eds-motorsport.de he understands english. Just mention that Pablo told you the e-mail address.

    Cheers!
