Default Found a Veccy......Not to sure about the exhaust!

Right found this CDTI for sale, it has some nice extras on it as you can see, However are the exhuast Vaux or aftermarket? It is 180 Miles away from me so I dont really want to travel 360miles only to find out it sounds like a 1990`s Nova( I do 30k a year so enjoy my quiet motorway trips).

Finger cross one of you guys either knows this car/the exhuast system and can put my mind at rest that it doesnt sound like a Ducati on a motorway.

That looks like a nice stainless steel exhaust, the only way to tell if its too loud is to test drive it, I think most people go for the mid-sports sounds... purrrrs at idle and roars when pushed hard!

You could always get a silencer box welded in later if it was too loud?

Hi mate, its a diesel so at the end of the day, i would not worry about how the exhaust will sound, as it will not sound much different from a standard one

Also, they've taken the time to fit the rear VXR exhaust insert too and had it colour coded. Although I can't stand the wheels, someone's obviously taken some care over the mods and it's not just had the standard insert cut-out. If you don't like the noise, the standard twin exits come up on ebay every now and then and you could just bolt one of them on instead and sell the stainless one...

Where is it btw...? Could someone on here have a quick look at it and maybe film it with the engine running to give you an idea if it's what you want first...?

looks very similar to mine, it's aftermarket that's fitted but depends on the boxes. Mine was custom made and sounds the same as the original pipes as I didnt want it any louder. Those stick out too far for my liking, but even if you didn't like it, that's a lovely car in a lovely colour, and easy to change.

Thankfull a large hammer and some "adjustment" to the mountings on the exhaust would fix this, but yes I agree. Il HPI it shortly and see if anything pops up.
