Default cd30 (not mp3) aux in?

i have a 2007my cdti 8v exclusive. the cd 30 in it has the small info display and doesnt give mpg etc, just date time and cd track etc.

can i have aux in on this unit? do i need to upgrade to cd30mp3 with triple info display? can i get all the other mpg displays etc on this model or is it all a big faf and should i just go for a new double din with touch screen if im spending all that amount of cash?

Vauxhall were never very quick to introduce Aux-In.

Only some head-units were fitted with this facility. Do bear in mind though that they were still producing cassette players in 2005!! (CC20).

If you fit a radio with a TID (Triple Info Display), then you will not get board computer functions. That is what you have already.

You would need a BID or GID. (Board Info Display or Graphc Info Display).

Personally, If Aux-In is your priority, I would buy an aftermarket head-unit.
Far cheaper and much better audio and visual quality.

Also - would you wish to control the head-unit via the steering whel scroller controls?

If you do, then there is no way to operate the board computer functions on the display.

It is one or the other - not both.

Perhaps get a Parrot MKi9200, you’ll be able to continue using the steering wheel controls and stereo

Does the parrot use the External In, like all other 3rd party bluetooth kits.

The reason I say this, is that the telephone audio comes through both front speakers, however it is only mono not stereo.

    Just a thought.......

I understand that there are some had-wired in-line fm radio transmitters that can do the stereo audio in, such as the Dension ICE link.
