Marc, have a look at my garage. My car is an SRi on standard shocks with -30mm Eibachs. There are some pics with it sat on 17" SRi rims.

Yep, the lowering is very subtle but when parked up next to a normal SRi the difference is visible and the ride and handling is transformed.

If you want it lower then you can go to -40 or -45mm springs or coil overs but I like the subtle change.

I have a Sri with standard Sri shocks with -35 apex springs. The ride is fine to me, 100% more comfortable than when I had coilovers on.

I'll take a few pics of the wheels when I get to work for ya

Ive got 30mm Eibach springs on b4 shocks. The ride is nice and not hard, but some people say that B4 shocks are not a direct replacement for an SRI. I think they are fine and have no issues with them.

The only down side is of dropping 15mm on a SRI is that the front skirt and engine undertray scrapes on the speed humps, soooooo anoying.

And if you park nose forward into a parking spot, and you allow your car to overhang the path, when you come to reverse out, you will pull your rubber skirting away from the vallence.
