Default 2004 vectra 3.2 sri, wont start unless hit with mallet (genuine)

Hi guys, dropped a friend off outside the local police station the otherday, went to start my car and it just cranks, no management lights or nothing, car attempts to fire, idles at 600rpm for no more than a few seconds then dies, for some reason i thought fuel pump, checked all fuses, all fine, removed plastic cover under seat, switched ignition on/off, nothing. attempted to crank engine, nothing. struck fuel pump several times with mallet whilst ignition was on, began to buzz, tried to start, fired and idled perfectly. simple diagnosis fuel pump right??? ordered a delivery mileage pump from ebay, fitted it today nothing, attempted to strike pump again nothing. So guys faulty pump? ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.
    Staff.

Need to check power and ground to pump.
    Fuse?
Then find relay check this is working. If you have access to tech 2 you can activate fuel pump relay which will help in testing.

    If no click from relay.

Try using a fused jumper wire between the pins 30&87 on relay control

    See if pump runs?

Just to say Ive just done corsa in work that was similar fault. Cut out. Recovered in no fuel pump buzz etc

After testing I found the BCM ( body control module) to be at fault

Fingers xd for your bank balance sake it's not same
