Default How do you remove the face vents?

How easy is it to remove the face vents as in the pic below? I also want to remove the one at the window end of the dash, this looks easier than the centre ones. Reason, the bottom slat on two of the vents doesn't move, is this a common problem?

Open glove box, pull dash board strip off towards you (it's only clipped in). Underneath it you'll see two torx bolts on each of the individual side vents and four on the centre set.

if it doesnt move with the others its because its broken... You'll need new vents about £5, or if your really good and careful you can replace the indivdual slats but you'll need another one for that anyway

Or do what I did with two of mine, melt the snapped joint back together with a soldering iron and then melt some extra plastic onto it to make it thicker (I used the edge off an old SD card I didn't need anymore), they're stronger joints than all the others now and took two minutes to do.

I looked at that strip but wasn't sure whether it just unclipped, now I know thanks.

thats fine if thats the control arm, i've repaired two like that myself, but if its the slat swivel point and the point has snapped off theres nothing you can do but replace the slat.
