I have standing water in the rear passengers foorwell of my Sig and also water in the front passengers footwell, all though not as much.
I accessed the forum yesterday and found the youtube link on how to remove the rubber bung underneath the scuttle tray next to the pollen filter. I removed said bung and sure enough, it was full of crap. The guy on youtube advised discarding it, so I did. I also made sure the scuttle tray was clear plus any drainage holes next to the wiper arms.
Hooaray for me I thought smugly to myself, problem solved!!
So, this morning I dried all the mats in the "summer" sunshine and drove everywhere with the heater on full blast blowing hot air into the footwell and it soon started to dry out. Did I mention that the water had already blown the fan motor so I only have full blast!!
Cue the rain this afternoon. I drove to my destination and had a quick look in the front passengers footwell, where I could see water egress into the car, to the top right of the footwell underneath the glove box. I put my hand behind the plastic trim that surrounds the transmission tunnel and its all wet behind there to.
****** I thought!! Actually I didnt, I thought alot worse than that. I then felt around the drivers side footwell, next to the footrest and its damp there to, although not as wet as the otherside.
Having got home I lifted the bonnet and raised the plastic trim that allows access to the pollen filter, which was dripping wet.
So at least I know where the water is egressing onto the car which I guess is a start.
So, does anybody have any ideas as to why the water is still getting to the pollen filter and how I can fix it please?
I tried to access technical but I the system would'nt let me in.
Any help would be greatfully received.
