Default Z20net - Finally NEW Longlife Pipes

    Hi all

Just in case anyone out there is interested, I have finally managed to have my much anticipated Longlife Stainless steel pipes fitted by FASTFIT (LONGLIFE) in Basingstoke.

Matt who did the work took his time to make sure it was a top job (4hrs) and I seriously happy with the results.

I went for the mid range rumble which means I don't annoy the neighbours but you know there is something different. It all started with a lot of help from Signum_Dek who managed to source a lower lip with the holes for the twin pipes. As you know the z20 already has twin pipes but I had the "tap" kind, you know the ones that hide behind the lip.

So I changed the lip and drove round for a couple of weeks looking like my car had its exhaust nicked, my mates certainly took the p155. Then came the day, the choice of exit pipes was brilliant but I went for the "subtle as you can get with Longlife" look.

I am more than happy, 1st and 2nd gear is faster than ever and .................... I know its sad but I keep opening my window when driving through a tunnel or under a bridge.

It took me ages to get this one off the ground but it is one of the best things I have done to the Siggy and I now love her that little bit more. If anyone wants more detail about Fastfit in Basingstoke PM or Google them, make sure you ask for Matt and make sure you mention my name and the Siggy.

Thanks for the feedback guys, it is appreciated. Once they start to become a bit sooted up i'll let you know how the tone changes. I did have someone at lunchtime point to the back of my car, usually that means something could be hanging off, on this occasion this guy pointed to the back then put his thumbs up................................................ ....I turned into an even more proud and slightly cheesey Signum owner at that point mwaaahh!!

it won't pass an MOT without a cat, it needs at least a 100cpi cat to pass..

Nice looking pipes there, did you just change the rear boxes?

I wanted the cat left in for mot reasons. So it is basically from the cat onwards. I value workmanship and service more than cheap and quick so with that in mind I did pay a little more than you see advertised on line and eBay. The whole lot including vat was around £400. I am Well chuffed with the results and glad I went for this option rather than a Vauxhall system.
