    Default Mot failed

    My vectra 1.8 ls failed its mot. It needs both rear suspension upper arms doin. Does anyone know how hard they are to change and how much the parts cost. Any help would be great thanks.

    Cost about £30 each on the bay. Not too hard to do, but access to the inner bolts can be a tw*t.

    Im assuming it's the banana arms which are away... Easy enough to do if your reasonably ok with a spanner... Fiddly to get at but once you have done one the others easy...

    Ask your MOT man to be more specific. Most people here are finding that its the outer bush that has gone and you can just change that bush, they are about £5 each. If you change the arms using the cheap ones off ebay you will find yourself changing them again next year, seems to be what most people are finding.
