Default power from the cigerette lighter.

    Hi,
Could someone tell me if its possible to have my Parrot handsfree kit and have a strip of footwell lights in each footwell powered by the cigerette lighter?

Here is the link for the footwell lights,

    Thanks in advance

    Mark

Quite probably. IIRC it's a 10A fuse - which I doubt your LEDs and handfree kit together get anywhere near. Just have a look at the current ratings on the things you plan to plug in.

Don't forget things that you may plug into the cigarette socket too. As long as you don't exceed fuse rating it should be fine

Is there anywhere else i could connect the footwell lights? Don't want to risk putting too much onto the lighter.

could use the light in the glove box or run the power line from a rear cigarette socket if you have one?

yeah i have one in the back, I may do that just to make sure I don't overload the front socket. Would the lights come on when I open the drivers door, and dim when the door shuts?

No mate, you would need to integrate the lights into the existing light circuit for that. Probably not too difficult as will only be a feed off the existing, only problem would be which lights and the running of the cables.

Personally I would go from the roof light at the front and down the passenger pillar, but if you don't get everything back properly you will create rattles right above your head...

I may not bother with them then, I don't want to create rattles. I was hoping that if i connected them to the cigarette lighter they would dim when the door was shut.
One day I may try this one

    Thanks for your help.
