    Default Painting the vauxhall V

Hi all, I'm thinking of painting the front V grill gloss black. It's currently coded Arden blue but I fancy it black and leaving the griffin chrome

Is the V easily removed in preparation of painting?

Anybody close to me handy with rattle cans that could lend a hand???

    Ta fellas

    Andy

It's easy enough to get off just undo the four screws with a T15 bit an pull the top towards just just enought peer behind and you should see the lugs holding it in four either side IIRC just push them down (carefully don't snap them) then below that are some more (unless you snapped the majority of them like me) same again gently prize them away being careful not to snap them it should then slide in down ward towards you motion.

cheers for the Ben. How is the griffin held on - is it glued or on pins? - would ideally like to remove it before painting, dont fancy trying to mask that off.

Its got them pins which are melted on, if your lucky, you might leave enough of them on to re-mount it. If not, just drive round like mark without a badge lol!
