Well after great week on holiday in menorca we drove back up early morning on tues (2am) coming up from Newcastle airport we hit a bl..dy badger on the the a1 i was doing about 70mph and there was now way I could avoid it but the resulting wack is a split on my front bumper about 8" long and has broken the lower clips on my left fog light and slightly pushed the bumper out on one side .my brother in law was following us and he hit it also but he has no damage could have been worse I suppose but it was a fright just the same.

U're lucky. I hit a cat uphill going 35mph country lane going straight til the dip that where the cat crossed over and stopped in its track i was driving then saw 2 bright bits (cat's eyes) just after the sudden dip (5-10 ft) and i couldnt get out in time when i realised it was a cat! What the stupid cat did was smashed my bumper, broke water radiator, split turbo hose (bumper cut it open) and damaged the intercooler radiator!

So u're flipping lucky u werent worst off!!! I sealed turbo hose (temporary) and replaced intercooler and water rad! Til someone said insurance could cover this!!! Excess will have paid for the repair so i did it meself! Need new bumper but its secure to use for now (mot guy happy for it to resume!) Lol

i had a badger in my old 306, and it cracked the bumper, blew the foglight out and bent my towing eye at a 45 degree angle..

judging by the mess of the badger, i can assume the towing eye hit him in the head..
