Improving the sound of a Derv??

The extra perkiness is in your heads i`m afraid.

I could give you all the in depth technical reasons why adding more air to a standard Diesel will give NO improvements but reading the level of knowledge on display in this post I fear it would fly about 4 miles over your heads.

Each to their own I suppose

No not really, just makes me laugh that the Tesco Car park Corsa drivers have all upgraded to Vectra DERV sri`s.

No on a serious note it was a bit over the top so apologies, after 20 years working on diesel tuning for Seat and Audi and more recently electronic tuning principals and knowing how difficult it is trying to gain reliable smooth improvements to power delivery with manufactures generic maps i just find it frustrating reading posts like this tbh, i log on to try and offer advice when it comes to tuning Diesels and when you hear gains in performance by making `air box mods`which we all know do not work i feel i should say.

Many apologies, if you want to open your airbox up then do so!!

That might be as dervs a now the way forward there cheap and nice cars dosnt mean there all there to make mischief and put silly mods on
