    Default car ramps

does anyone else have an issue getting their car onto some ramps? Got mine out at the weekend to drive the car on to to save myself having to jack it up and put it on axle stands, to find the front bumper was so low, it hit the ramp with the wheels a good foot away!

Was so frustrated! out with the jack, 10 mins later it was in the air

removing bumper is way more hassle than getting the jack out.

Ramp extensions - made or bought? Contemplated using some bits of 2x3 but common sense got the better of me

mine is lowered on irmscher spring's so ramps are a deffo no go for me anyway, even some 2 post ramps at garages are no good for my car...

ramp extensions all the way tbh, some 4x2 at about 18'' long should do the trick if on say the 2nd step of the ramp

I used planks of wood as my extensions.

I did remove bumper once. Took less than 10 mins to remove

10mins? Thought it would be a bigger job than that. I need to fix my lower grill, so maybe a bumper removal at th enext mod shop is in order

Same as Tony - I use two lengths of wood to extend my ramps - you just have to be careful they don't move when driving over them. I have two sets - its handy if working underneath to have each wheel up on a ramp drive onto the front set and then jack up the rear wheels and put a ramp under each wheel.

Once you've removed a Vectra bumper, you'll be able to do it again in 10 mins. They're a doddle
