    Default Abs ecu

Does anyone have any pics of where this is located or what it looks like? Need to see if my 2.2 2002 Vectra C SRI has the three pins required to fit a switchable TC button; it is missing the blue plug behind the blank on center consol.

    Thanks.

open the bonnet... look towards the back left handside of the battery. Its the unit which has 6 brake lines going to it, the ecu is bolted to it with the plug, btw, its just one wire on that ecu not 3... should be a blue/red pin3 iirc.

Cheers mate, I'll take a look tomorrow. I may have missed this in your reply but will I be able to tell if I can fit a TC switch and make it work by just looking at it?

Apparently if the ABS ECU has 1 pin I would need to swap it for one with 3 pins.

Apologies if you have explained that already, I'm not very electronically minded lol.

theres about 4 pins under there its just A particular pin you need to see if its in there, it is pin 3 which is the blue-red wire... What 3pins is referring to is leaving from the switch inside the cabin i believe... Have a look tomorrow and take note of the part number on the unit and post it up... If your ever over essex way pop over and I'll have a look and check/see if it can be done for you

yes, i have a few numbers on file now of whats switchable and what isnt..

4001 are deffo switchable. you will just need the wiring adding and maybe 'tc' illumination activating on the instruments if you dont already see it when ignition turned on.
