Default Vectra 2.0 DTi difficult to start when warm

Hi, new to the forum, and have seen many problems relating to vectra starting difficulties. Have done many of the things suggested regarding starting problems when cold and wondered if there are any further ideas out there but for when the car amd he conditions are "warm".

Crux is that when I went away for a week recently the car turned over first time, but if I have left it overnight or for 2 days it will turn over at the second time of asking, and if I have been driving it already that day it will take 3-4 attempts to start - to the point that it has completely drained the battery today. Also the warmer the weather, the more difficult it is to start!

I have replaced: Leak off Pipes, Glow Plugs, Fuel Filter. Had the dealer look at it who said that it was the fuel pump (but as it was connected to he FCU would cost £1800 for the part alone!). I am considering going down the route of Temp Sensor, but at the moment am hesitant as everything else has failed so far.

    Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

For the 2.0 DTi, there has been an ECU software update available from the dealers, that alters the glowplug heating timing.

I'd contact VX and see if the update has been done on your car if I were you
