    Default key 2 not working.

as above. the key 2 not working. i replaced battery 2 times. thought i best check the fault codes and it comes up with no communication. as if it need programming to work together again. the immobilator works as usual. my first key alays works without a problem.

i changed the battery quickly to keep memory or something intact and locking/unlocking worked afterwards til my wife went out and tried to lock and it failed.

so how do i reprogram the key to work with the car?? looked in index of how 2s and could not find one there???

Sounds like it is a tech 2 job. But try putting the key in ignition but not starting, just lights on. Then press either button on key. If door buttons pop up and down then you should be ok . If not tech 2 job.

There is another method mentioned in the handbook. The PDF copy is on my other computer though, so can't copy/paste from it.

Something like unlocking door with key, then inserting into ignition without having to press the buttons.

    Here it is:-
    Radio remote control synchronisation
After a battery change, unlock door with key in lock. Inserting the key into the lock synchronises the radio remote control.
