Cool How do i remove back seats??? & Wire in auto dim rear mirror?

    Hi all...

Im in the process of swapping over my interior....

Time being i have the front seats from a GSi in there, and the bench bit from the back in, but i need to know how you take the uprights out??

Also, i put in the map reading lights today and sunglasses holder all good, but i cant see no other wiring up there for auto dim rear view mirror??

Also.. tomorrow im going to put GSi front brakes on, are the flexi's the same or do i need them as well, or is it just the calipers/carriers & discs i need to swap?

    That is all... Thanks

Rear seats, normally you can release the catch so they come forward (you'll notice they pivot at the bottom) and then you can push the seat away from you at an angle, (almost as if your pushing the seat towards the opposite rear door and it should 'pop' out from the pivot, if not you'll need a big flat blade screwdriver to release the tension from the spring on the pivot... The 3 bolts someone mention are for a central pivot and no need to remove this unless you want to. The other side of the rear seat is exactly the same..

As for brakes if its an early gsi you'll have 302's on there or if its a later one they'll be 314's. Banjo's and flexi's are the same throughout the range..

If you cant find the rest of the wiring for the autodim mirror it means its not there and you'll have to retro-fit it... Its normally a 3pin ribbon cable which runs from the front to the boot of the car. If you drop the lefthand sidepanel down in the rear you should see 2 ribbon cables (on the right of the fuse box), if you only see one you have your answer

Cool, least the brakes are straight forward lol! And seats should be

Its a 53 plate GSi, they all got to be better then the brakes i got at the moment to be honest lol.

I took the complete light out the middle to fit the map reading one along with sunglass holder, but no other wires were there
