    Vehicle : Vauxhall Vectra Hatch

Trim : SRI with added X-Pack

    Engine : 1.9 16v 150

    Year : 2006

    Mileage : Near 100K

    It's a 2.2 dti, not a common rail engine.
There are a few problems with these engines, worst one to look out for is taking a long time to turn over before it starts, As that can lead to an expensive fuel pump repair.

There's no service interval for the chains so they are only changed as a precautionary measure or if they rattle.

As soon as you get 1 spend a tenner on it. Buy a roll of vacc pipe and replace them all and a can of brake cleaner and clean boost sensor and egr valve and it will be an awesome car. We on our second dti as first got wrote off. Check for suspension knocks and the ac works ad these all seam very common aswell as the possible poor starting as mentioned above

My old 2.2 DTi was faultless. Started first time every time and never let me down. Ever. Sold it last year with 106k miles on it, and it's still going strong. It was 52 reg. I got about 43 mpg.

Go for it, give it a full service when you get it, and an oil change every 10k miles
