    Vehicle : Vauxhall Signum

    Trim : Elegance

    Engine : 1.9 CDTi 120PS

    Year : 06

    Mileage : 115000

    Default

I had the exact same thing happen on my 2006 Vectra, and on my current 2006 Signum - real PITA when you're trying to make rapid progress up a motorway slip road!

A bit of superglue worked in the Vectra. But in the Signum I've noticed that the rubber/plastic lining of the hole in the top part is mostly missing, which means the 'splines' on the stick have nothing to seat against, and the top pops off really easily.

I imagine some epoxy resin might do a better job in my case, but it might make the knob very difficult to remove in the future...

As said above. Bit of glue or liquid nails, pop it on, and give it a good whack into place

Mine was the same, sorted out and no further problems

Yes, they are just a push fit, and you have to buy the complete stick to get a new knob from Vauxhall. They can be stuck back on with glue or better still some epoxy like araldite.

Or, get an aftermarket knob like a Richbrook.
