Default Water in boot and rear foot wells – My fix!

This weekend’s mission was to try and discover where the water was getting into the Vectra…

I was suffering the classic issue of water in the boot around the spare wheel well and below the back seat in to the foot wells… So I figured it was going to be one of two places… The aerial base or the roof gutter trim rivets…

So I set about taking the car to bits and while I was at it I fitted the read interior light…

I used the VW grommet for the aerial base which fits well with persuasion, silicon sealed the aerial base, roof grommets and around the boot and finally up a heater and condenser in for two days to try the sucker out…

    Fingers crossed it has worked…

Pics of the work as I did it for other peoples reference…
