    Default Excel Formula Experts

Can anyone come up with a formula for the following

    Cell A1 = y
    Cell A2 = y

Cell A3 is the cell I need the formula for to test the parameters of A1 and A2.

Cell A3 = if cell A1 or cell A2 equals y the add cells C1 and C2 else if both are n then 0

    Cell C1 = 25
    Cell C2 = 20

    Cheers

Spot on, I was trying to use "OR" but that was only returning a true or false value

Couldn;t get my head around nesting the "IF" statement

    Cheers mate

If you want to use the OR command, you could do it like this:

    IF(OR(A1="y",A2="y")=TRUE,C1+C2,0)
