Default Key Fob problem, 2005 Vectra C

    Hi all,

I have a 2005 Vectra C 1.8, the keyfob had been working fine until a few days ago, first the locking stopped working, then the opening stopped, I changed the battery but for the life of me cannot get it to work now, I have tried to re-sync like I do on the wife's 51plate Astra, key in the ignition and press but nowt, nothing works, I don't have a manual for the car either so am unable to check if I am doing it right.

I expect it's been asked before, but i could not find a definite answer on search, The button rubber's are a little worn so this may be adding to my trouble, does anyone sell replacements on here?

    Thanks in advance

    Mark

tbh mate the remote has probably packed up, if you go into a decent motor factors they will often have a testing device, or atleast a couple do round here

I have bought a new key housing from ebay here for £1.80 from the far east as the rubber has gone on my spare key.

Still waiting for it , takes about 3 weeks to arrive.

Often the micro switches on the circuit break and so the key fob doesn't respond.

They will need replacing and soldering on , a multimeter could be used to confirm this.
