Rain sensor/total closure.

I'm sure I read somewhere that the rain sensor will close the windows if it detacts rain and a window is down?? Is this right, cos I left mine on the drive last night with the passenger window all the way down (forgot I'd left it open!) and it has rained quite heavily and not shut the window. Luckily the wind was in the right direction and my upholstery is still dry!!

I've heard it as well, must have a functioning rain sensor - either when it rains all windows are powered up or after 4 hours.

Check, open all windows and pour some water on rain sensor.

Maybe rain was too fine to be detected?

The car needs to be double locked for this function to work. That may be why it didn't do it on yours?

No prob m8. In what way is yours different? It could just be the way it came out in the photo that makes it look different?

well i'm sure the rain sensor is angled the other way on mine, and it's a uniform colour throughout, it doesnt have those blue shapes within the actual ring.

also, the sensor at the back of the rear view mirror is on the other side, and is a small rectangle as opposed to your circle, and there is no cureved recess.

BTW - is that the sensor for the auto-dimming rear view mirror?

Right, well maybe slight variations in year of manufacture etc.
