Default looking at buying a cdti

evening all new user here intro threads here http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...80-evening-all

ill be looking a for a car to tow my nova about to the track and would relaly like a vectra being a vaux fanboy

after some searching the 1.9cdti seems to fit the bill, they dont seem that expensive either (pe-facelift)

had a bit of digging around and seems to be the main 2 faults are the flywheel and fuel pump/ecu

how common are these to fail, obviously searching the net i will find horror stories as how many times do people do reviews unless they are bad

so what should i be looking for when buying apart from the usual things

will probably be a 54/55 plate which is in my price range

    thanks

The 120 8v will still be good for towing mate but 150 bhp 16v has more torque aswell

    Vehicle : vectra sri xp

    Engine : 1.9 8v

    Year : 2008

    Mileage : 36000

I would go with the 120 8v i am on my second one at the minute and far more reliable then the 150 16v. I sold my other 8v to my friend and he constantly bes pulling an 18ft trailer with quads on it and never gives a days bother, and if you want more pulling power buy a tdi tuning box which give serious good torque and bhp. I have had these in my 2 1.9s and trouble free and great for there money
