    Default another missfiring question.

My 05 cdti 150 has a slight miss, it does it throughout the rev range but only when it gets to speed its going to cruise at for that throttle position. So say I put my foot down a little bit the revs go to 2k small miss and revs stay there, little bit more throttle to 2.5k small miss and hold the revs it does this all the way through the revs in all gears. If the cars stationary and you rev it slightly it makes like a small pssst noise as it reaches its desired revs. My personal thinking is its the turbo reaching the boost for the said revs then dumping the air, it just seems to be savage the way it does it.

Is there a way of cleaning out the boost control system, I've cleaned the boost sensor but that's all I can find info on.

Sorry its a long post but its starting to p1ss me off now.

    Default

"Pssst" noise is likely to be an air leak. Usually I would say look for split hoses/intercooler, but as one of your previous posts said your boost pipe blew off, maybe you have a major restriction in your intake. If you remove the boost pipe to your intake manifold (jubilee clip) and poke in through the throttle housing butterfly flap and into the manifold, you can check to see how coked up it is. The butterfly flap should move freely under pressure from your thumb/finger. If this is ok, check that the intake manifold isn't completely coked up.
