Default New rear bumper with XP/VXR skirt also repainted spoiler

I orignally had the SRi rear bumper with VXR insert, the bumper wasn't in a bad state by any means, it had that common "dent" around the number plate recess and a few chips but nothing major, the insert however had been badly prepped, paint was flaking off it and was fouling my new quads.

I'd always fancied the XP/VXR rear skirt and when Sebastian threw up a for sale add for a genuine one already attached to a rear bumper I had to have it, a little bonus was it already had pre drilled holes for parking sensors too.

Again, I didn't really need the bumper itself but thought the whole lot would have a fresh coat of paint and no damage.

When the bumper arrived I put it straight into the bodyshop and decided to stick my Irmscher spoiler (which was black, hadn't got round to painting it) and a mirror cover that had a gouge from a carpark.

I got the parts back on thursday and this evening's been the first oppourtunity I've had to fit them!

Once the bumper was fitted I decided to modify the exhaust cut outs on the VXR insert so they'd no longer foul the exhausts, very happy with how tidy it still is and I'll be prepping and painting it matt black tommorow evening.

    Anyway, on to the pics...

    And after

A little pic of the excess material removed from the insert

Parking sensors are also going in tommorow, the holes just need boring by around 1mm so going to borrow my mates hole cutting cone.

The sensors ARE colour coded, they're just not fitted yet, what you are seeing there are the holes in the bumper

Just bought a set of fitted blinds for the rear and ordered the remaining SMD's and LED's to finish my conversion off, on the look out for XP/VXR sideskirts and an Irmscher front lip spoiler now to finish the bodystyling off

Each to their own, I love the spoiler though, sets the car apart in a sea of VXR clones
