Default ta technix fron height adjustment

i might sound a bit stupid here but i bought these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2007693781...84.m1439.l2649

just fitted the fronts and what i seen on you tube on how to adjust the height on coilovers is you adjust the spring rate damper rate so you can have it hard or firm and then unsrew or screw at the bottom so you screw into the bottom mount to adjust the height

well the ones they sent me only lets you adjust the spring to hard or firm yes car is slightly lower looks like its about 30mm-40mm lower at the front but carnt seem to lower it any more by adjusting spring

am i missing something or have the just sold me sports suspension instead of coilovers

ive sent a message off to seller to ask him does anyone know what i am missing

The bottom of the spring should be sitting on a 2 locknuts.

You need to loosen the lowest one off with the C spanner and then use the C spanner to wind the other locknut down to lower the car.

The spring rate wont change as all your doing is moving the mounting seat so lowering it.

You still have all that threaded adjustment to go yet.

in the morning im going to wind it right down carnt see it going down to the 120mm they state but will give it a go. at the moment its 22 times i marked the strut and then marked the rings and counted how many times round to get to it where it is at first it was 35 times i lowered it down 13 times and it didnt look like it went any lower

after watching all the ones on youtube these are totally different and now after reading the ebay add i think it means the damper rate never changes so odds on

it could be just me expecting alot more than they are will do backs on monday and see how i feel then

Wind it down the amount that you want the car lowered more.

Ie if you want it 40mm lower than it is now wind the locknuts 40mm lower.

Also I would take the 120mm with a pitch of salt as its probably measured when a car is on a brand new spring with a light engine. Also you will probably find the 120mm is the length of the threaded part so you have 120mm of adjustment.
