    Default Which Part??

    Hi Guys.

Was after a bit of help with a clicking noise coming from the glove box.

It only occurs when I turn the ignition on. Clicks for about 5 - 7 seconds. When I start the engine it starts clicking again for about 5 - 7 seconds. Don't get any clicking until I turn on the recirculation air flow. I get a dull clicking which is hardly audible for several seconds. But when I turn the recirculation air flow off, I get the loud clicking mentioned earlier. All from the glovebox area.

I'm pretty sure it's the common missing tooth scenario.

What I am unsure about is which part do I need. I've seen these items on ebay.

    Item 1. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2907380540...84.m1436.l2649

    Item 2. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2210566862...84.m1436.l2649

    I have a 2005 cdti 1.9 life.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks...Chris.

    Default

In answer to my own question.

This response needs confirming by other members who know better, but for anyone in the future with a similar problem, read this post first.

If you're searching for this part. be aware that the original Vx part is NLS (No Longer Serviced) The Vx part number is 9180021 but thanks to here (Item 23) you can see the alternative part number 13192013 to search for... I think it's from a SAAB.

So search Ebay or where ever it is you look for parts for a second hand used part with the part number 9180021. If you don't have any luck sourcing that part, then you can use the SAAB part.

    Regards.
    Chris.
