clutch problem

morning fellow veccys,

took my vectra for the mot and failed dramatically,lol
lambda sensors ,spring {again},exhaust mounting,head light bulb,
so a costly day of £300 but still ,i am on the road again,

however when i picked the car up i nearly crashed into the car in front of me,the clutch bite was totally an the floor,
however ,no time to muck around as i was heading to work,so gingerly drove to work, kind of got used to it until i got to a hill.{whoops}
so decided to call the mechanic,
had a moan and took it to him the next day,
now this is where it gets peculiar ,
i realised that the pedal was not returning to normal position,so i pulled it up with my foot,
drove sweet as a nut to the garage,
the garage couldnt fathom it,
but the car felt ok,
of to brighton i went,
no problems,
so now every day i need to pull the pedal up before i go anywhere,
the car is a vec elagance on a 53 plate {03}
16v petrol,

any ideas please ,

Release bearing sounds like

whats one of them when it at home , and if poss where is it and can i fix it my self??
