    Default Brake upgrade

Time for new pads and discs, so thought while I'm at it I might do an upgrade.

Mine is a 2004 1.8 petrol and I think I'm right in thinking that the 2.2 has larger discs.

If I wanted to upgrade would it simply be a case of buying a pair of calipers from a 2.2 as well as the larger discs/pads?

Are there any other things to worry about with such an upgrade?

The 2.2 has the same size discs as your bud

The 2.0t and early 3.2v6s had 302mm discs

From the end of 2003 all of the V6s (except the VXR) had 314mm discs

    The VXR has 345mm discs

To upgrade you need calipers, carriers, pads and discs

YOu will probably find a remarkable improvement with new standard discs and pads, I would also recommend refreshing the brake fluid as well.
