    confused help needed if possible fellow vec c pals

    on saturday my car kept going into limp mode god knows why but it would first of all reset by turning off and on again but then kept coing back every say ten minutes then stopped for 3 hours then i stopped for about 2 hours went back to it and it would not come out of limp even after 20 attempts turning ignition on and off finally i took the battery off and on again now it hasnt done it since
    just wondering if anyone is anywhere near staffs that i could drive to to plug it in for me and tell me whats wrong as it is so expnsive from vauxhall just to plug a wire in the car
    let me know asap thanks ever so much guys

    Hi peeps is anyone anywhere near me that can plug my car in to see whats wrong it keeps going into limp mode ive chucked so much money into it lately and its getting close to giving up with it time thanks peeps it would be so much apprecited i can drive to you when its convienient thanks again

    Check your vac pipes, seeing as it's a dti, don't forget the ones on the slam panel.

    Hi mate thanks for that i have checked all them and all appears to be fine pal it just seems go into limp whenever it suits also it went into limp today i couldntpull over so drove it in limp about 2 miles and then suddenly it went off and caar was ok again then 5 mins later back in limp again aany ideas but thanks for your reply

    I'd double check every rubber vac elbow and "T" join as it might only be doing it on boost where the vac demand is higher, check the vanes are moving on the turbo (it looks like a 2.2 dti in that pic) and not sticking and causing overboost.

    It is a dti mate the 2.2 dti sri i checked all that today and had all the clips off too checking all wires and connections all the pipes and bits couldnt find anything wrong but then i aint got a clue what to expertly look for in all honesy mate

    Any splits in the rubber elbows for a start mate and any sticking in the arm on the side of the turbo and any free play in the impellor on the intake of the turbo housing.

    NOT THAT I NOTICED I TRIED THE FLAP AND WHEN TURNED IT CUTS ENGINE OUT SO I KNOW THTS OK TOO why was i writing in capitals just noticed ha ha but no mate all looks ok there ill have to double check again tomorrow

    I live and work in Wolverhampton and would be able to plug in for ya to read the codes. I have the same engine as you. Second I've owned and I would just for safety replace all the vac hoses for the 10 quid it costs and clean the boost sensor aswell just as these are common causes of the light being on on any dti engine.
