Default Think ive had enough of my 19" Snowies

Hi. Not long had my 05 1.9cdti 150 signum. It came with 19" Snowies which i was very happy about but there proving to be a little hard to live with. I think my shocks etc are standard, GM parts and recently replaced. But am I wrong in thinking that if GM then they cant be overly stiff and sporty?

Im putting it down to the wheels, very noisy ride in the back with road rumble and harsh ride, I find myself trying to avoid any holes and bumps i see more than ever before.

Would 18's make a big difference, or do i need to really compromise with 17's to get a reasonably smooth ride.

I did look in the swaps section to see what i would be offered for my 19's but seems i dont have access to it(?)

Anyway anyone had the same problem and found a smaller wheel much better?

i just changed my 19 snowflakes for 18s i think i made the right choice, ride not as harsh, and a lot smoother with less road noise, just my opinion.

After cracking one of my snowies, I've replaced them with 17" black-painted preface SRI rims. The ride is so much better, the car sits a little bit lower and is livelier and more nimble.

I did mate 19's to 18's snowflakes with 235/35/18 tyres and they are much better, a stronger wheel with a bit more tyre wall for those pot holes and speed bumps.

thanks, thought that might be the general opinion. Just need someone local to me in bedfordshire that will prefer the way the look over a bit of comfort. Gladly swap them for some 18" snowies. others considered but would need photos just as any would of mine.
