Default Help Wanted : Wheel locking key broken

    Hi all

Decided I wanted to take my front wheels off today to give them a good clean as they were black at the backs.

Got one wheel off fine then went to take the over off and guess what, yep the locking key has broken. Its a VX type so no suprise there.

Would anyone have maybe a 19* Key I can borrow for a day (pm me if you have something close) don't want to give the full number out on a public forum.

I just need to remove the three locking nuts so I can then get a decent set fitted.

Your help would be so much appeciated.

If no one can help I will go to the dealers as sods law I will now get a flat.

    Thanks all

Looks like I have a little dilemma on my hands. First off many thanks to critch for all the pm,s and searching high and low for me but the right one was not available.

Spoke to the dealers today who had a look for the one I need but funnily enough didn't have one but get me one in a few days for 30 quid.

What should I do next I wonder.

Is anyone fairly local who can get the three remaining locking bolts out.

I really don't want to buy the locking key just to take the bolts out only to replace them with a decent set and never use the vx ones again.

    Hmmmmmmm

    Hi mark hope your well.

To be honest it's not something I feel I can do without messing it up.

I wanted to ask you but I'm off work for the next two days plus weekend so it's a bit of trek to you from WGC

How do you tell what number the key is? I've got one lying here that came with my car, but oddly there weren't any locking studs actually in the wheels. The key has a "B" stamped onto the top of it, but no other markings on it as far as I can see.

    Hi puppet.

I had mine in a box with the number included on a piece of card. I will pm you a pic of my key to see if it's similar.

    Cheers
