Default Can anyone in Leeds or London tech 2 my car?

My 2006 vectra cdti elite wouldn't start on Friday. Aa came out and eventually got it going but now I have loads of electrical gremlins mainly with the lights. The auto lights are keeping the lights on constantly, the rear light clusters only have one working sidelight in each, only one reverse light works and the o/s indicator has given up too. All the bulbs and fuses have been checked and are fine. I really need to get to the bottom of this as I plan on getting rid ASAP.

If anyone can tech2 it or has any ideas or info I'd greatly appreciate it.

Dean, when you say "these cars" do you mean the 1.9 or the Vectras in general?

Its the fusebox/ECU in the boot of the car, it controls all the rear light functions plus the auto-light signal from the front goes back to the REC too..

So do I need an exact match to the one I already have and then have to get it coded to my car? I'll have to get on it tomorrow. If its expensive it looks like I'll be keeping the car

mostly they need to be exact matches, they have a 2 letter ident on them, they can be got on ebay for about £30-£50 and yes they have to be programmed, but without diagnostic tests i'm only guessing you have to understand that... I'm over in Slough tomorrow (day off) if you can get there I can read the codes for you and have a look

Lightbulb moment, the fuel pump connections connect to the REC, he may have back feed voltage to the REC

It sounds like he did that. To be honest your explanation of the rec pretty much points to it. I'm in London tues to thurs so looks like I'll miss you but thank you for the offer.
