    Default Car Insurance Renewal Shock

I nearly fell off my chair this morning, when i opened my Privilege Insurance Renewal for the Insignia £562.86.

I know things go up, but i thought i only wanted the car insured, not buy the company, so i have spent the day trawling the price comparison sites and found a lot cheaper deal with protected, legal cover, courtesy car and breakdown, saving nearly £200.

So it does pay to shop around every year, i had been with with the present insurers for three years,

Has anyone had or used Swiftcover before, are they ok or for £8 more, i can go to Quote me happy?

For those that dont know me im an old git, with years of no claims bonus. lol

I'm with swift cover, cant fault them, Just dont ring them as they charge through the roof for amendments made through their call centre, do everything on line and they are brilliant. Somebody on here made a claim through them, as several have asked about swiftcover, and the member who made a claim sung their praises. try a key word search to find the thread, as Swiftcover was discussed in quite a lot of detail there

    Try Greenlight car insurance.
Very good service - cannot fault them, apart from not doing an agreed value insurance policy..

don't know why it is as expensive as that, and being a old git thought it would be reasonable .mines due next month, and normally pay around the 300 mark (old git to) and that's for a vxr

No idea, i think the extras like the courtesy and legal add it up along with wanting it protected and have breakdown cover, but then its where you live which made me laugh. As when living down in Kent only 18 miles from Central London, it was cheaper than living up in a village approx 20 miles from Sheffield and Doncaster. So my village must be in a war zone lol or maybe it something to do with having a S postcode

Well insurance signed up for the next 12 months, saved £226 by shopping arround. Whats is happening with my money? This is the first time in many years that i have had to do my insurance on monthly instalments and not just a quick and easy one off payment

Havent had a pay rise for this year yet if its as good as last year it will amount up to £0 again.
