Default Air balsting noise from under the car when de-accellerating

No my car has not got wind

As I was driving down a hill with the passenger window open and with my foot off the accellorator pedal, I could hear a ppsshh ppsshh pshhh on and off (around the 2000rpm mark), when putting my foot on the clutch or accellorator, the noise stops. It seems to happen within a certain rev range when slowing down using engine breaking. Any ideas?

Possible small split in turbo/intercooler hose, and you can't hear it under load due to engine noise?

    Which vectra is this CDTI?

sorry - 1.8 petrol. It's going to be a bit of tricky one to view/test, but i'll jack it up and have a look at the area it seems to be coming from....when it stops raining.
