I've always wired mine to the positive side unless anybody knows different.

They replicate the load of a bulb so the bulb check system thinks there's a bulb fitted, so you wire them in parallel (positive to negative).

Is this so you can run any LEDs? What size resistors do you need?

    Default

You could measure the resistance of the bulb and the LED and if you run them in parrallel you need to use this formulae.

    1/bulb resistance =1/LED +1/Resistor.

If they are in series then

Bulb resitance = LED + Resistor

As to which way is best???

These are the ones I use on mine and a couple of others have used on my advice. These are fine for an LED replacing a standard 501 sidelight bulb or in my case the LEDs in an angeleye headlight.

fiddly dont get me started..............2 1/2 hours to do the first side
getting bulbs right way round was ok but fitting them not good seems like one goes in and one comes out resistor fitted across pos/neg
and no bulb check showing will have to do other side sat. am weather permitting.
