rear end knocking

The rear passenger side of my vectra is making a metallic knocking sound on rough roads . My rear trailing arms where changed last week i have new rear shocks and my rear anti roll bar bushes were changed a few months ago i removed everything from my boot spate Tyre etc . The noise is still there . The noise was there prior to my trailing arms been changed i assumed the noise would go as the bushes on the arms were so bad. Anybody have any idea off what it could be?

Are the rods to operate the door locks etc secure?

i have a knock in my rear now n again,done the control arms,2 new shocks & powerflex ARB's

Had the same on mine. Replacing the rear control arms and rear ARB's sorted it out.

I never even thought of the rear drop links it does make a similar sound to what the front links make when there on the way out

changed the rear drop links yesterday no joy still the same knocking sound i got my tracking done today had the car on the lift all suspension is perfect basically so the problem seems to be the back driver side shock which i bought from fk automotive 3 months ago. even do the sound seems to be coming from the rear passenger side when im driving as the car was on the four post lift i pushed the car up and down i could here a thud come from what seemed to be the shock the mechanic said it probably is the shock because all bushes etc are fine I will take out the shock over the weekend and have a look.
