It pushes back in, but it's a bit fiddly.

You need to remove the plastic trim around the lever there are 2 torx head screws. These need to be removed. the handle unit then clips back in.

How do I know? Because I was doing this all day Sunday! (Cable slipped of the release spring!)

No probs, like I say it's a bit fiddly, so be prepared to swear at it.
Yeah I thought the handle module had come loose, thats why I had it all apart. In the end I needed to open the bonnet from under the engine! Anyhow I digress.

The Handle is attached to a black plastic module thing, which clips into a metal bracket under the plastic trim. sadly it all has to be be removed to clip it back on.

If you want to work on the module outside the car, you need to pull the handle to its maximum, then get a screwdriver on top of the cable and pull it down, forward and towards the centre console.

It'll make sense when you have the trim off, but it's a sod of a position to work in!!
