    Default Is there any truth?

Since changing the wheels on the signum ive had this rather annoying wheel wobble between 60-70mph, spoke to an alloy specialist and he reckon at that speed its more likely to be rear wheel balance than fronts, is this true or a load of guff?

Yep this is true. Over 60 mph wheel wobble most likely to be rears. If it was fronts you would already feel it at much slower speeds

I had a really bad vibration on my last car only between 55 and 65mph. Had the rear wheels rebalanced and the problem was cured

If you changed to aftermarket alloys, did you use spigot rings?

These are genuine ronal vxr wheels, so should be a straight swop.

When you say wheel wobble, do you feel the steering wheel wobble? If so, I would say it was the front end. I had a wheel wobble only at 70 MPH ish (steering wheel wobble) and had my 2 front wheel balance checked. One was way out (had lost a weight). Once balanced, the wobble was gone. Therefore, front wheel problems can manifest at higher speeds only.

Are the wheels true? Are the wheels balanced properly? Is there any deformities in the tyres?

I am only asking as you said the wheel wobble has only started since swapping your wheels.

When I had tyres changed I had steering wheel wobble after 60mph,.. turned out to be top shocker mount bearings. Was fine until tyres were changed
