    confused Brakes & Lambda sensor

    Hello!

First off all sorry for posting here but in the "request a part number" section I am not allowed to post yet.
1.) I just bought a 04 plate Signum 2.2 direct and I would like to change the brake pads and discs. I enquired onlne about them but I don't know the exact dimension of the disc or if I have or not sort susp.
2.) I want to chenge also the lambda sensor because I know it is damaged but again how can I find wich one is it(front or rear) without going to a service?

Maybe the questions are stupid but I hope someone will understand me .

I am asking here because at the moment I live on one of the Scotish Island and it's a bit hard to get to a good service.

    Thank you very much!

Best way to tell which discs are on it, take a wheel off and measure across the disc,
The only way to find which sensor needs replacing is to have the codes read with a scanner.

    thank you!

It is hard because I don't have a scanner...and I don't have a service close to me unfortunately

How do you know lambda sensor is damaged?
Is there a light on the dashboard? If there is the probability is that its the rear one.

Yes, the light is on on the dashboard.

I tried to make the pedal test but it seems I can't make it work .

Yes, the light is on and sometimes the engine idle is uneven.
And the guy that sold me the car told me that the lambda sensor is faulty. But he can't tell me if it is the rear or front one.

Today the code reader arrived but unfortunately it's not working on my car. I ordered an U480...
So...any ideas about how can I solve my problem?

    Thanks!
