    Default Another hid question

    Good evening
I am looking for some advice please.
My drivers side dipped beam bulb has blown and I'm no thinking I should get a hid kit. Question is what kit do I get and what brightness?
    I have a 2007 facelift.

    Thank you for your time
    mike

    I bought this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2609374278...ht_2709wt_1270
went for 4300k , the kit came with the error cancellers for the canbus , everything fitted well & the light output is 10 times better than the halogen lights they replaced

What's the difference between the 4300k and 6000k? Also are they easy to fit?

I've just fitted 50W 4300k HIDs from HIDs-Direct on ebay. Very bright without being a danger to other road users and very white. Much much better than the orange halogens.

4300k is only slightly whiter than standard halogens. 5000K is very white. Anything above 5000K the lights look blue and will not be as bright so I cant see the point, blue doesn't light anything up. I have 50W 5000K from HIDS direct and they are so much better than the candles the car comes with

Got 5000K in my facelift Vectra and think they are closest to xenon lights. Way better than standard bulbs. Would recommend to anyone with projector lights

Mine went straight through last week at a Vauxhall main dealer. I asked the tester beforehand and he said providing the beams are in allignment and they're not blue (I've got 6000k 35 w HIDS) he will pass them. He went on to tell me that if they do fail, then do as people with dodgy numberplates do (ie. temp fit normal ones). Basically change back to standard halogens and he would pass it providing the beams were alligned correctly.

The MOT rules on HIDs are still not very clear - even VOSA who write the rules haven't got a clue.

mine went straight through mot 2 weeks ago with 50w 6000k hids, and my father in laws sailed through last friday with 35w 6000k hids, dont waste your time buying cheap hid kits off of ebay , i did and ended up paying out for the better quality kit in the end
