right my 1.9cdti 150 siggy has just started to puff white smoke every now and then. i dont think the turbo is leaking as i havnt lost any oil and its not constant. im thinking it might be a sticky egr valve. what do you lot reckon?

anyone? should i clean the egr up and see what happens?
Maybe a slightly lazy injector.
Cleaning the egr won't do any harm an since it's easy to get to prov worth doing just to rule it out
If you're sure it's white smoke, that's an indication of water burning off. Check your water reservoir level - if ok, maybe just condensation within your exhaust?
Could also be brake fluid? Check your brake fluid level, it is not unknown for brake master cylinders to weep through the seals, into the vaccuum unit and then into the engine.
water, brake, and oil are all fine
If you're not losing any engine fluids then I wouldn't worry about it, but would keep a close eye on those levels in case its early signs of something going wrong.
EGR is generally worth cleaning out periodically; I do mine whilst waiting for the oil to drain during basic service.
