Default Z19DT Exhaust Temp Sensor Help... & Thermostat...

If this wasnt working properly, what would it cause?? As i belive mine is reading -40degrees i think... Which to me... i know isnt true...

Also how easy is the thermostat to change, as it never really moves of the bottom when driving, only when in traffic.

    Cheers.

Hi, Do you mean the coolant temp sensor when you say exhaust temp? The thermostat on the 120 is a bit of a pig to replace on this engine - there are loads of previous posts on the Forum if you do a search.

If you are seeing -40 on the display in the centre of the dash its the external temp you are seeing, the sensor for it is mounted behind the number plate area of the front bumper. It will need to be replaced and its not expensive.

Nooooo its not the outside temp sensor lol

I put tech 2 on it, and its showing exhaust temp sensor -40 degrees, now autodata shows this to be at the front of the engine bay?? on the exhaust?
